Beatson Cancer Charity and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce have entered a new partnership, with the charity joining as a platinum partner. The collaboration reinforces a shared commitment to strengthening ties between the business and third sectors.
The move reflects the Chamber’s evolving role in supporting charities not only as beneficiaries but as active contributors to Glasgow’s economy, as employers, innovators, and drivers of social value.
Beatson Cancer Charity’s new membership highlights a growing model of partnership that enables third-sector organisations to engage more meaningfully with businesses across the city, joining other charity members already active within the Chamber network.
As a platinum partner, the charity will participate in the Chamber’s network and contribute to shaping conversations on corporate social responsibility, health and wellbeing, and community engagement.

Gillian Hailstones, chief executive of Beatson Cancer Charity, said: "Beatson Cancer Charity is delighted to be a new Platinum Charity Partner with Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
“We look forward to working more closely with the Chamber and strengthening our ties with the membership and wider business community in a meaningful way. This partnership will play a key role in helping us to support more patients and families across the West of Scotland affected by cancer. "
Richard Muir, deputy chief executive of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, said: “Beatson Cancer Charity brings a strong track record of impact, and we look forward to working alongside them. Their involvement will add a critical perspective to our network, particularly on how businesses can engage with social challenges more strategically and effectively.
“The third sector plays a vital role in the life of our city, not just through the services it provides but in the way it connects communities, inspires innovation, and drives inclusive economic growth. Strengthening ties between charities and the business community is not simply a matter of support: it’s about collaboration, shared learning, and building a more resilient Glasgow.”
The announcement builds on successful partnerships, including Beatson Cancer Charity’s longstanding relationship with Edrington, a Chamber member for 25 years and a dedicated Beatson Business Ambassador. In 2025 alone, Edrington employees raised more than £40,000 for the charity through matched fundraising and volunteering, including participation in the company’s European Epic Cycle challenge. The new partnership also reflects wider synergies, with many of Beatson’s Business Ambassadors already active members of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
Beatson’s new platinum partnership aims to create more opportunities for partnership, volunteering and shared initiatives across Glasgow’s vibrant business community.
