As we head into the Christmas period, please be aware of our festive opening hours across our services and offices. We want to make sure you have everything you need during this time, whether you’re accessing support, getting in touch with our team, or planning a visit.

You can view our full festive schedule below - and if you need us, we’re still here to help.

 

The festive season can be a difficult time and can bring lots of additional stressors and challenges. Should you feel you need some emotional or mental health support over the festive season, you might wish to consider contacting one of the following listening services:

Breathing Space

A confidential telephone service that is free to call from any landline or mobile network

Opening hours: Weekdays: Monday-Thursday 6pm to 2am Weekend: Friday 6pm-Monday 6am

 

Cruse Scotland Bereavement Support

A confidential helpline that is free to access for anyone wishing to access bereavement support

As per their festive opening hours, they are operating their helpline between 22nd December – 2nd January between 10am – 2pm.

 

If you feel that you need more urgent support, there are services available for you to access, whatever you’re going through and at any time.

 

The Samaritans

A free and confidential telephone service that is available 24 hours a day.

SHOUT

A free confidential text service that is available 24/7.

Text SHOUT to 85258.

Or Text YM if you’re under 19 years of age.

 

These services will only share your information if they are very worried about you or think you are in immediate danger.

 

If you are in crisis and require urgent help, please consider the following:

Get advice from NHS24 by calling 111 and selecting the mental health option. They will advise you of the right place to get help.

If your GP practice is open, you can request an urgent appointment. A GP can advise you about helpful treatments and also help you access mental health services.

Contact 111 or ask for an urgent GP appointment If you are in crisis and require urgent help, please phone 111.

If you have harmed yourself or someone else has harmed themselves and require urgent medical attention, please phone 999 or attend your nearest A&E.
