Route Map

We’re excited to share the route map for Off The Beatson Track 2025! The event will start and finish at the Riverside Museum, with a scenic path that takes you along the River Kelvin and past key landmarks like the Kelvingrove Museum.

Here's all the information you will need to know before the event!

How To Travel To The Event

Travel reminders:

  • If you plan on taking the bus, there are several nearby stops that offer convenient access to the venue. Please note - Bus routes do not drop you off directly at the event, however, there are stops located close by in Partick, at Morrisons and at the bus interchange.
  • The nearest train station and subway is Partick.
  • You can pay to park at the museum which is also outside the LEZ (Glasgow's Low Emission Zone - LEZ (arcgis.com). Participants must pay £3 for the first hour from the machine or via the Ringo App, and our volunteers will issue parking passes to cover all-day parking at the Riverside Carpark entrance. Please display your pass on your dashboard, this confirms you are attending OTBT and will cover your parking for the rest of the day.

What You Will Need

Preparation reminders:

  • Please bring your own water bottle as you will need plenty throughout the day and we cannot supply single use plastic bottles. There are refill points at the Riverside Museum and the half-way point.
  • Please make sure you bring your OTBT wristband to the event as this confirms when you set off on your 10K.
  • Remember to wear your Off the Beatson Track t-shirt, we want this to be our brightest year yet. Feel free to add your own message on the back.
  • If you have not managed to collect your t-shirt and wristband don’t panic, we will bring all this on site on 24th and you can collect from the marquee! *If you are collecting your t-shirt/wristband on the day please make sure to arrive in plenty of time.*

Prepare Your Pets

Pet reminders:

  • We ask that all pets are kept on leads to ensure smooth running of the event, and in case any four-legged friends disagree for any reason.
  • Don't forget to bring water (and snacks!) for your pet - they need to stay hydrated over the course of the walk too!
  • Please ensure all waste is collected and disposed of accordingly, we must keep the route as clean as we can.
  • Water, treats and hugs (spare poo bags available too) will be available at the marquee.
  • Juno, our incredible Ambassadog 2024/25 will be there with her human Nicole, eyeing up the competition for us!

On the walk

  • We must ask everyone to please stick to the wave they signed up for. Due to the high volume of participants, it is essential to have the waves separated to avoid congestion and make the event enjoyable for all.
  • During the walk, there are multiple locations where toilets are available (including disabled access).
  • There is a refill station with snacks and toilets at the halfway point, and the Beatson Café is open for hot drinks, ice cream and snacks.
  • Entertainment will be provided from start to finish. With a variety of wonderful performers, there will be something for everyone, and we hope you will stay to enjoy the DJ, bouncy fun, and food trucks, when you get back to the Riverside Museum.
  • We will also be launching our Ambassadog competition located just before the entrance to Hyndland Train Station. Make sure to come and visit us and enter on the day (or grab a flyer to enter online at your convenience) - we can't wait to meet your paw-fect pups!
