We are so grateful to 10-year old Jacob from Paisley, who asked for donations to Beatson Cancer Charity instead of gifts for his 10th birthday.

It's after his dad Nick sadly passed away in August 2021 following a cancer diagnosis, but was treated at the Beatson.

Jacob set up the fundraiser while his dad was still in treatment and raised £2,700 for his birthday - which will help us so much to support cancer patients and their families.

"I wanted to give something back to them so on my birthday I asked everyone to donate money to the Beatson instead of giving me presents and I raised way more than I ever thought!"

Jacob said: "My dad was in the Beatson and the treatment he was given gave him some extra months with me.
