Companies across Glasgow and the West are being invited to swap high heels and suits for trainers and walking boots to take part in our annual walking challenge in aid of life-changing care and research.

Fresh air, fitness and fundraising are on the agenda as Bella the Beatson Bee encourages businesses and families to sign up for Off The Beatson Track which will be happening virtually on Saturday June 12th- Sunday 13th.

It’s the perfect outing for a company with community health and wellbeing as part of their company culture and their corporate social responsibility strategy or simply because they enjoy fundraising out with working hours. A recent Report from Aflac found that 77% of consumers are more likely to purchase products or services from a company which demonstrates a commitment to greater social causes.

Our flagship event, is a 10k (6.5miles) challenge which is suitable for all ages and mobility and is guaranteed a great ‘feel-good’ challenge. Now in its 8th year this is the second time the event has gone virtual during Covid times.

We’re encouraging our people to take part in this 10k walking challenge as part of our corporate social responsibility programme, it’s important for our health and wellbeing and we are incredibly grateful for the services Beatson Cancer Charity provide...

Martin Cawley, CEO of Beatson Cancer Charity, said:

“Each year, we eagerly wait to see just how involved the community gets in our fundraising events. We have never been disappointed as they always make an effort. Early indications are that, despite COVID-19, this year will be no different”

“We look forward to working with partners in the private sector and seeing Glasgow businesses take cancer in their community seriously as part of their CSR strategy.”

Working with us can help make a real difference in the communities that businesses serve by ensuring the continued support for customers, staff and peers who may at some point of their life experience cancer.
