Pampas, located on Hyndland Road in the West End, launched its pop-up shop at the start of June and made a commitment to donate 30% of sales to us.

After trading for only three weeks, the store’s owner Helen Forrest has revealed not only did they sell out of stock but managed to raise an amazing £7334.53!

Helen was joined at the store by Joyce Ross, our Corporate Partnerships Manager, to officially mark the fundraising partnership.

The Pop-up shop has not only raised an incredible £7,334.53 but created such a buzz and gave us the opportunity to involve our wonderful volunteers, who were delighted to be able to help out at the shop over the last few weeks.

Commenting on the pop-up concept Helen said: “We were completely overwhelmed by the response to our first-ever Pampas Pop-Up. We had to replenish our stock four times and the store was so busy every day. The Beatson Cancer Charity is a cause close to so many of our hearts and our clients are always hugely supportive of anything we do to fundraise for this amazing cause. We had hoped to raise around £3k so are naturally delighted to have smashed our target. We hope the money raised will help to fund the vital work the charity does to support so many in our local community and beyond.

Joyce added:

Congratulations once again to owner Helen Forrest and her wonderful team at Pampas Boutique, Hyndland as they celebrate their 30th Anniversary!

The Pop-up shop has not only raised an incredible £7,334.53, but created such a buzz and gave us the opportunity to involve our wonderful volunteers, who were delighted to be able to help out at the shop over the last few weeks. It’s certainly been a fabulous way to celebrate 30 years and Beatson Cancer Charity are delighted at the response from the community.”
