On Friday 26 September Elaine McHugh, an avid supporter of Beatson Cancer Charity and ambassador was recognised as the Charity Champion at SCVO awards ceremony.

Everyone at Beatson Cancer Charity are ever-so thankful to Elaine and her family for the help and support over the years.

Elaine’s personal fundraising has been instrumental helping transform the charity. Since 2017, she had raised over £300,000 through numerous events and helped create our website and resources to connect our services with more people.

Elaine expressed her gratitude for winning and said, “This has been an incredibly difficult time for all charities and I am honoured to receive this award on behalf of Beatson Cancer Charity, #TeamEilidh, my husband Michael and my very special daughter Kerry. I believe Eilidh was really looking down on me when I won – Eilidh’s name means ‘Light’ and her light continues to shine through and directs us all in her name.”
