For the fourth year running, Beatson Cancer Charity has pulled out all the stops for another fantastic evening and raised a staggering £32,272 to help support thousands of patients and families affected by cancer in Scotland.

The charity welcomed guests to the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Friday 2 November for a glamorous evening of food, entertainment and prizes.

The host for the evening was BBC Scotland’s Bryan Burnett, who was back by popular demand for his third Beatson Ball and did not disappoint.

I am delighted to be hosting the Beatson Ball again this year. Like so many, our family has a huge debt of gratitude to The Beatson for the amazing levels of care they provide for all our loved ones. Friday night was a celebration of their efforts and a chance for us all to continue to fund the work Beatson Cancer Charity does, in helping thousands of people in Scotland cope with their cancer diagnosis.

Thanks to generous donors, guests had to opportunity to bid on fantastic prizes in the Beatson auction. They included a luxurious stay at Ardgarten Argyll or Strathyre, a stunning white gold bracelet and tickets to see Take That at the SSE Hydro.

All the funds raised on the night will go towards providing services, as well as funding specialists, research and education to invest in a better future for cancer patients and their families across Scotland.

The Beatson Ball is a calendar highlight for me and an opportunity to meet some of the charity’s incredible supporters. Every year I continue to be overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown towards Beatson Cancer Charity. This allows the charity to continue making a significant and positive difference to the lives of so many. Thank you to our fantastic host Bryan, the exceptional entertainment throughout the evening and everyone who attended for helping make this year’s ball another night to remember.
