Team Beatson we are delighted to tell you about our fantastic new tea trolley service which we have introduced to day patients and family members at the Beatson in the following areas - the Outpatients department, Pharmacy and the Clinical Research Unit.

The service offers a free hot drink with a tasty biscuit and is being run through the mid-morning and mid-afternoon on Monday to Friday. We spent time with our lovely wellbeing centre assistants Tracey and Linda, along with volunteers Gillian and Kate who showed us how the service works and it is proving to be a massive hit with patients and family members who sometimes have to wait a very long time before their appointments.

Sinead Connolly, Cancer Care Pharmacist at the Beatson said: “I have worked at the Thursday outpatient myeloma clinic in area 4 at the Beatson for a long time. I would just like to both congratulate and thank you for the new tea/coffee service. This has certainly visibly made a big difference to our patients - keep up the good work.

”This is just one of the many services we can provide to enhance the patients’ experience when they visit the Beatson, and with your support we can continue to keep services like this and many more, which make a huge difference, running."
