David Leese

 

David joined Merseyside Regional Health Authority as an NHS General Management Trainee in September 1990.

He subsequently joined NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board in December 1993 and worked in a number of planning and leadership roles until 2001.  During this period David completed his MBA at Strathclyde Graduate Business School.

In summer 2001, he moved for a two year period to be Head of the Homelessness Partnership – a joint role with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Glasgow City Council.

In 2003, he was appointed to the role of Head of Acute Services Planning for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and in August 2006, started as Director of Renfrewshire CHP.

With the emergence of Health and Social Care Partnerships, David was appointed to the role of Chief Officer for Renfrewshire HSCP in January 2015.  Renfrewshire HSCP is responsible for the delivery of all adult social care services and all community health services for adults and children in the Renfrewshire area. As a public sector manager for many years he has a strong vocational commitment to the principles and values of both health and social care, to developing the staff they employ, the teams and services their staff work within, and ensuring our HSCP organisation is a great place to work.

In 2019, he qualified as an Executive Coach; in the any spare time David helps to support senior leaders, clinicians and others through professional coaching to work through work related challenges, programmes of change and to support them in their development. This is a hugely rewarding role that he really enjoys.

In January 2021, David joined James Gibb Property Factors as Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director for Service Delivery and Performance. The business delivers a range of property management services to home owners, developers and contractors across Scotland – it has office locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen

David is married, with two children and lives in Glasgow.
