Cost of living

Ways we can support you through the cost-of-living pressures

The rising cost of living is affecting us all. In response to this crisis, we have gathered practical support on offer to both patients and their families facing the cost of living pressures. Some of these options have been available for a while, and others have been introduced recently. If you need assistance or you're concerned about your financial wellbeing, please take a look at how we can help you.

Financial Support

Donor Payment Breaks

If you are in financial difficulty, we may be able to freeze your payments for three months or more.

Your support has helped us make a difference to the lives of so many cancer patients, former patients, and families. Beatson Cancer Charity supports people affected by cancer, every step of the way.

If you support us by direct debit and have come into difficulty, we can pause your payments – or offer you a payment holiday and you can get in touch when you feel ready to re-activate. What’s more, you can continue to support us by volunteering, taking part in challenges and more!

Support for you

Specialist Health & Work Service

The Specialist Health & Work Service is here to support anyone with a diagnosis of cancer, caring for someone with cancer, or living with the after effects of cancer, in their work situation. We can provide help and guidance with issues including return to work planning, awareness of rights, communication with work, withdrawal from work, seeking new employment and more. Our practitioners offer ongoing 1-to 1 as well as group workshop support. Our team also consists of trainee cognitive behavioural therapists and a counselling psychologist, and we can explore if these support options are right for you.
