The Beatson Cancer Charity is pleased to announce that the Nineteenth Annual Friends of the Beatson Sporting Dinner takes place on Thursday 24th April 2014 at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow with guest of honour and headline speaker, Mr Ryder Cup himself, Sam Torrance OBE.Following the successful merger of Friends of the Beatson and the Beatson Oncology Centre Fund, the Beatson Cancer Charity is delighted that Sam will join us as a guest of honour and headline speaker at this prestigious event.

However, sometimes someone comes along who goes the extra mile with their fundraising efforts.Ross Graham, 28, from Airdrie has decided to fundraise for the Beatson Cancer Charity and we couldn't be more grateful to have his support. The physical education teacher based in Perthshire will be undertaking six fundraising challenges in six months for the Beatson.

Big time supporter Raymond Stark recently took on the challenge to play 72 holes of golf at Shiskine Golf Course to raise money for the Beatson Cancer Charity to say thank you to the wonderful staff at the Beatson who cared for his mum Irene and aunty Claire when they received treatment.After a very long day, Raymond successfully completed his golf marathon in around 16 hours and has raised over £1, 700! Raymond said: "I can't speak highly enough of every member of staff at the Beatson and all the unpaid volunteers who contribute to this wonderful organisation."A massive thanks goes out to
The Beatson Cancer Charity is delighted to have been selected as the beneficiary of the fantastic fundraising efforts of Miss Fagan’s registration class at Dumbarton Academy. The pupils of Clyde 5 started a penny pot in class and the school had four brave bungee jumpers who took the plunge off the Titan Crane! A massive thank you to everyone who got involved and helped raise more than £1,500 for the Beatson – what an amazing effort!
