The Specialist Health & Work team are running a series of workshops which focus on adjusting to working life or retiring from work after a cancer diagnosis (either your own or someone you care for).

This series of workshops aim to provide practical advice as well as tools and techniques which you may find helpful during a time that may be very stressful with lots of change and adjustment.

All workshops are currently delivered via Zoom and will last up to 1.5 hours. These workshops are suitable for patients as well as carers. The workshops available are:

*FEW SPACES AVAILABLE* 2nd February @ 1 pm – Changing jobs after a cancer diagnosis.

Starting a new job or changes to an existing job role can be stressful in any situation and may feel very daunting after a diagnosis of cancer. The workshop aims to provide tools and techniques to manage difficult thoughts and feelings in the face of changes to health & work. We will also discuss how to disclose a cancer diagnosis to employers and colleagues in a way that is right for you

*WORKSHOP FULL* 9th February @ 1 pm– Adjusting to working life after a cancer diagnosis.

*SPACES AVAILABLE 16th February @ 1 pm– Adjusting to working life after a cancer diagnosis.

A workshop led by counselling psychologist Marta and SHAW practitioner Kirsty providing techniques and discussion around adjustment when continuing or planning to return to work following a life-changing cancer diagnosis.
