This series of workshops aim to provide practical advice as well as tools and techniques which you may find helpful during a time that may be very stressful with lots of change and adjustment.
All workshops are currently delivered via Zoom and will last up to 1.5 hours. These workshops are suitable for patients as well as carers. The workshops available are:
*SPACES AVAILABLE* 26th January @ 1 pm -Retirement after a cancer diagnosis.
When the decision is made for us, the transition can be more difficult – this workshop explores where to find advice, the emotional impact of ill health retirement and moving on. Louise and Ashleigh will help you navigate what can be a difficult time
*FEW SPACES AVAILABLE* 2nd February @ 1 pm – Changing jobs after a cancer diagnosis.
Starting a new job or changes to an existing job role can be stressful in any situation and may feel very daunting after a diagnosis of cancer. The workshop aims to provide tools and techniques to manage difficult thoughts and feelings in the face of changes to health & work. We will also discuss how to disclose a cancer diagnosis to employers and colleagues in a way that is right for you
*WORKSHOP FULL* 9th February @ 1 pm– Adjusting to working life after a cancer diagnosis.
A workshop led by counselling psychologist Marta and SHAW practitioner Kirsty providing techniques and discussion around adjustment when continuing or planning to return to work following a life-changing cancer diagnosis.
