Well done and thanks to all fundraisers who put in the miles over Scotland’s warmest weekend!

14th June 2021

We want to thank the hundreds of walkers, runners and cyclists who went Off the Beatson track virtually this weekend to raise thousands to support life-changing research and care.

Our flagship event, which challenges participants to complete 10k (6.5 miles), is in its 8th year and shows no signs of slowing down. This year, over 700 people from all over Scotland took part from the peaks of Conic Hill to the forests of Campsie Glen!

We are absolutely bowled over by everyone’s participation in this year’s event.

Martin Cawley, CEO, Beatson Cancer Charity

The last 7 years have seen over 11,000 participants walk over 70,000 miles - making it Glasgow's biggest, best, and most yellow sponsored walk.

Martin Cawley, CEO of the Beatson Cancer Charity, said: “We are absolutely bowled over by everyone’s participation in this year’s event. Not only have we raised a phenomenal sum of money which will make a genuine difference to the outcomes of real patients, the pictures people have sent over and shared online have really shown a great side to participating in events like this.”

Taking part in something like this is a great experience. It’s fun, it has purpose and everyone taking part knows they’re contributing in their own way to a truly fantastic cause that helps our friends and family.”

It is your generosity that allows Beatson Cancer Charity and all our staff and volunteers to deliver an innovative and patient-focused approach to cancer care and change the lives of those affected by the disease every day.

Thank you for being with us.
