A whisky auction has helped to raise over £60,000 for Beatson Cancer Charity, following the virtual event which took place this year.

The auction featured some fantastic drams and experiences – whilst bidders helped to support families and patients affected by cancer.

Paul Condron, Brand Director for The Macallan which is part of the Edrington Group, led the auction with help from Martin McHugh, Chairman at Martec Engineering Group and Stephen Rankin Director of Prestige at Gordon & MacPhail and the support of the Whisky Auctioneers. They provided a collection of whiskies to be auctioned off, which raised a grand total of £61,466, including a total hammer price of £46,732.

“We received some fantastic donations, including some truly unique ‘money-can’t buy’ experiences"

“We received some fantastic donations, including some truly unique ‘money-can’t buy’ experiences and benefited from the great generosity of the team at WhiskyAuctioneer.com who provided the auction technology without charge and donated their fees too.

“A special note of thanks to Edrington Group and the Robertson Trust for their generosity in donating some exceptional auction lots and going further with an additional £10,000 donation to boost the total.

“To exceed £60,000 was an incredible achievement – great job by the Whisky Auction team.”
