"Since we had to cancel many of our events due to the pandemic, we wanted to find a fun way to fundraise whilst respecting the social distancing arrangements. Last year’s event was such a success, we’re excited to be running it again."

We're inviting dog-lovers across Glasgow and the West to take the lead and raise funds for Scotland’s leading cancer centre with this pawsitively uplifting event.

We are a nation of dog lovers, so we are calling on Scots to dig deep into their pawkets and make this year the ulti-mutt fundraising experience to share with your four-legged friends!

Entry to the Paw Walk is £10 entry and will include a branded pet bandana fit for the cover of Vanity Fur, plus a Beatson T-Shirt for the humans. Excitingly, your pooch could become the furry face of the charity as we will also be on the lookout for our next official Beatson Ambassadog, who will take over from Comet who won last year’s competition.

Owners are advised to be quick to book a place as the first 50 sign-ups will receive a round of app-paws and a goodie bag courtesy of pet retailer and supplier, Creature Comforts.

With branded bandanas and a new Ambassadog to be crowned, it is hoped the pup-arazzi will be out in force to capture the occasion, so tag Beatson Cancer Charity in your pictures on your Paw Walk. We will share the most rebarkable pics and tag those who have helped raise funds by getting involved.

“Daily walks with my Beagle, Ditsy, has been hugely beneficial for me during lockdown and I know many of our patients feel the same especially during treatment. We are all thrilled with our new dog tartan items so we think the Paw Walk is the perfect event and will be very popular raising much needed funds for our charity. Our supporters go above and beyond for us – can't wait to see the photos of them out and about in yellow.”

Martin Cawley, CEO of the Beatson Cancer Charity, said:

“Last year’s Paw Walk was a great success, and we really hope that dog-lovers across Glasgow and the west can help us deliver an even bigger event this year."
