"In these difficult times Beatson Cancer Charity needs your support more than ever. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak we have taken this year's annual Art Exhibition online."

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak we have taken this year's annual Art Exhibition online. Beatson Cancer Charity's annual Art Exhibition is hotly anticipated every year. Curated with The Studio Fine Art Company, there's always a wide range of art to suit all tastes.

The main purpose of this exhibition is to raise funds for our charity. By purchasing a piece of artwork you will be helping to support us. Beatson Cancer Charity supports people affected by cancer, every step of the way. We make the journey easier by transforming the way cancer care is funded and delivered. Currently we are doing all we can to continue to help our colleagues at The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.

Take a look at the art on sale now on our dedicated website, with pieces starting from £95.

The Studio Fine Art Company owner Alison has a close connection with Beatson Cancer Charity. She tells us about her daughter Gillian, who was given the devastating news she had cancer in April last year.

Gillian's diagnosis led to a complete lifestyle change in a normally fit and healthy young woman whose equestrian and business interests came to an abrupt end - albeit she hopes to go back one day and finish her teaching qualifications. Gillian's planned wedding to her fiance Alan (who works for the NHS) was also postponed as sadly they were facing an unknown future.

Apart from the cancer itself the consequences of this diagnosis were almost too much for her to bear, however the kindness and support given to Gillian by The Beatson during her subsequent treatment and several hospital stays made a very difficult time more bearable. One year on and Gillian's journey is not over yet but knowing Beatson Cancer Charity are there for her every step of the way means so much to her.

As Gillian's mother and Curator for the annual Beatson Cancer Charity Art Exhibition the significance of the support given by The Beatson has become personal. It has brought home to me that cancer can effect any one of us at any time and I will be forever grateful to the Beatson for the care and continued support given not only to Gillian, but to our family. Please support the online exhibition in any way you can this year. You never know when YOU may need this amazing charity.....
