"Our 300 volunteers are wonderful and their contribution of over 18,000 hours is invaluable! Our volunteers help in so many different ways to support patients, their families and loved ones. The impact they have is always greatly appreciated and should never, ever be underestimated."

What a fantastic week we've had celebrating our incredible Volunteer Team! In case you missed it, check out some of the news and videos below from throughout this week.

To kick Volunteer's Week off we released a very special poem read by local celebrities and long-term supporters of Beatson Cancer Charity, to officially thank our volunteers for their incredible dedication and support. Specifically, as they have officially reached a collective one million minutes of time given up for The Beatson! Listen to the poem, written by Alison Walker, here.

We are so proud of all the work our incredible volunteers do. It was wonderful to be able to share our volunteers' achievements over the last year, such as that prior to lockdown they donated 1,500 hours of their time to Beatson Cancer Charity every month! Furthermore, over 80% of our volunteers provide direct support for cancer patients and their loved ones.

We were delighted to share some of our wonderful volunteers stories on social media, you can find more on our website.

We also received so many thank you videos from across the charity which we shared across social media. Here are just a few...
