Beatson Cancer Charity are delighted to announce their second online show of Beatson Bletheraimed for those who want to enjoy a night-out in!  We know, most love a chat with friends and enjoy a blether when meeting new faces.... so, here’s the perfect combination Taking place on Wednesday 22 July 2020 at 8pm, the evening provides a perfect excuse to get dressed up, sit back and enjoy entertainment with friends and family online.   

  

Kaye Adams, ultimate TV panellist from Loose Women and radio host will guide the eveningguaranteed to be filled with music and laughter.  The life-long ambassador for the charity shall be joined by friendsLorraine McIntosh, Ricky Ross and Dougie Vipond of Scottish favourites, band Deacon Blue for some chat and sing-a-long.  It’s bound to be a good night with entertaining stories to share with everyone. 

 

Dougie Vipond, Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh were the founding members of pop band Deacon Blue along with Ewen Vernal and Graeme Kelling.  Their 1988 hit "Real Gone Kid" is regarded as a classicSince then, each member has branched out into different areas of the entertainment industry which includes fronting a diverse range of programmes, acting and radio presenting. 

  

Joyce Ross, Corporate Partnership Manager is excited about this online event, saying:

Since we had to cancel many of our summer events due to COVID-19, we wanted to find a fun way to fundraise whilst respecting the social distancing arrangements.  Our first event with Kaye Adams proved ever so popular so we are thrilled that Deacon Blue will be joining us.  As well as having a good blether, there will be a few surprises on the night.  All will be revealed.” 

  

Tickets are prices at £15 and shall support the charity with continued services to patients and their families on their cancer journey.   The charity is currently running a Befriending Service and offering 500 essential care packs for in-patients and start up packs for those returning home post treatment.
