"Let's come together for a special night to raise vital funds for patients and families affected by cancer."

Held throughout the world on Burns Night (or on an evening close to it) a traditional Burns supper is an evening event that celebrates Robert Burns’ life and work.  If you ever wanted to feel the passion for ‘Rabbie Burns’ then this virtual Burns evening will offer this, and much more, all with a modern twist.

The Bard & his Belles event shall be hosted by supporter Alison Walker (Scottish broadcaster) with special guests; Scottish comedian, actress and writer, Karen Dunbar; TV presenter Hazel Irvine and Eric Davidson, recognised as one of Scotland’s after-dinner finest speakers. The night will be filled with Burns’ poems and songs and tributes made to the great Bard to honour his birthday.

Entertainment will be provided from the famous pipe and Celtic rock band, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.  There will also be opportunity to win some incredible prizes based on a theme ‘All about Scotland’.

Andy Dunlop from BH Events will host an interactive and fun “All about Burns” quiz with a Bottle of Whisky up for grabs, kindly donated by The Glasgow Distillery Company.

Our online silent auction will celebrate items synonymous with Scotland from unique staycations, whiskies from around the country, paintings from renowned Scottish artists – all raising money to support patients and families across the West of Scotland.

Alison Walker loves to play host for this event and although shall miss the event staged in a venue, is excited about streaming this live from Crossbasket Castle Hotel, East Kilbride.  She said, “Let's come together for a special night to raise vital funds for patients and families affected by cancer.”

It only costs £30 per household and represents great value for a quality night in.
