Beatson Cancer Charity hairdressing service is located within the Wellbeing Centre in a fully equipped salon offering in patients a wide range of hairdressing services from haircuts, hairstyling, wash and blow dries to head shaves and beard trims.
Our experienced stylists are here to offer advice on hair loss issues and provide patients with emotional and practical support. Scarf tying sessions and soft comfortable cotton sleep caps can be issued where required.
Appointments are available between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday in the Wellbeing Centre.

wig fitting and supply service
This service is available to any patient losing their hair as a result of cancer treatment.
Our wig consultants understand how distressing hair loss due to chemotherapy can be. They are here to provide confidential and impartial advice to help you choose a wig that makes you feel comfortable and confident.
We have a wide range of wigs for you to try to allow you to find a style and colour that suits you best. You can choose from a variety of models and colours. Our consultants will take time to explain to you what is likely to happen to your hair during treatment and will answer any questions you may have about your hair.
All cancer patients can access the following services:
- Wig fitting and supply
- Wig maintenance
- Hair loss advice
Appointments are available between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and take place in a private room within the Wellbeing Centre located on the 4th Floor of The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.
We also provide these services at the following cancer treating hospitals:
- Vale of Leven - every Thursday Morning in the Haemotology Day Unit
- The New Victoria Hospital - every Tuesday 9:00am - 4:30pm in the patinet information room
- Inverclyde Royal Hospital - every Tuesday afternoon from 12:30pm - 4:30pm in ward F South
