Westerton Male Voice Choir Gets Festive for Beatson Cancer Charity

23rd Nov 2015

Westerton Male Voice Choir is set to put on a show stopping performance at our Christmas Concert  to raise vital funds for the Beatson.  The local choir will be performing Christmas classics at the stunning City Halls in Glasgow on Saturday 5th December.

Bryan Marshall, Musical Director of Westerton Male Voice Choir, said:  “Every two years we select a different charity to support, and what a fantastic two years it has been with Beatson. We have formed a fantastic relationship with the charity, it’s something that’s now so close to all of our hearts. We regularly visited the Wellbeing Centre to get a feel for the amazing work that they do and also have a sing-a-long with the patients. It’s a wonderful place; we always leave with a sense of achievement knowing that we helped put a smile on someone’s face.

“That’s why we are honoured to be part of Beatson Cancer Charity’s Christmas Concert this year, we can’t wait to entertain the crowds for such a great cause. We are preparing a selection of traditional Christmas carols and songs to sing on the night to help everyone get into the festive spirit - and of course they are more than welcome to join in!”

Local musicians will join Westerton Male Voice Choir for a jam packed night of festive entertainment including former X Factor finalist Nicholas McDonald and the UK’s largest, most popular contemporary choir, The Glasgow Rock Choir.
