Walk from the Rock

1st Mar 2016

This April, Richard Campbell along with 40 of his friends and family will take part in his fundraiser for Beatson Cancer Charity – “Walk from the Rock” an 11.6 mile walk from Dumbarton to The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.  Richard, 41 who is currently a patient at The Beatson was determined to give something back due to the tremendous support and care they have given him over the last three years. He said.

Learning to live with cancer hasn’t been a smooth ride, however the strength and commitment from the staff at the Beatson Cancer Charity has not only helped me with my fight but it has also given me strength, courage and a new hope. I want to get involved as much as I can to stand with them in this fight against this deadly disease and I have nothing but gratitude towards this charity and also to the Beatson Oncology Centre that it supports. Without them, I truly believe that I would never have been able to move on and experience life the way I do today. I will be eternally grateful for the Beatson Cancer Charity and the hospital for bringing me back to life.

We truly appreciate Richard’s support and efforts and we are sure the event will be a fantastic day for everyone involved! If you would like to take part in the walk you can contact Richard yourself at his email here. To find out more about Richard’s story or to donate to this fantastic cause visit his JustGiving page. (Make sure to give them a beep or wave on Sat April 16th!)
