Nisha Kaur gets the chop for the Beatson

12th Aug 2014

Proud #teambeatson supporter Nisha Kaur popped into our fundraising hub to hand over donations she received for #thebeatson from getting her hair cut. She also donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust which provides real-hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment.Like so many Nisha has a connection with the Beatson as her step-dad, Brian, was a patient there, but sadly passed away at the beginning of the year. Nisha wanted to do something that was a personal challenge and cutting off her long hair was something she was extremely nervous about! After initially hoping to raise a few hundred pounds, her final total was an incredible £1,395! Nisha was overwhelmed by all the support shown from her family, friends, neighbours and her school and she is incredibly grateful to them.A massive thank you goes out to Nisha for raising this superb amount, we simply could not do our work without her incredible support! To find out more about how you can get involved and do something incredible to help the Beatson, please don’t hesitate to call our fundraising team on 0141 212 0505 or why not send them an e-mail at fundraising@beatsoncancercharity.org. You can also visit our fundraising hub at the Tom Wheldon entrance of the Beatson from 9am-5pm, Monday – Friday. (6 photos)
