Fundraise for Beatson patients in 2016!

11th Jan 2016

We were so lucky last year to have such an incredible amount of people standing up against cancer and fundraising for Beatson Cancer Charity.  The money raised by people in our local communities in 2015 has really helped us continue supporting the Beatson as leading cancer centre in the world.  However, Glasgow in 2016 still has one of the highest incidences of cancer of any European city. 2016 could be your chance to help the 8,000 new patients treated at the Beatson each year, whether  it's to achieve a lifetime's ambition or to have fun with colleagues and friends, we'll be there to support you every step of the way.

here are some fun hints and tips for the year ahead!

Be Active   - Why not  raise a sweat this year and take part in the Great Scottish Run, climb a munro? Or maybe hold a 24-hour dance-a-thon! Who doesn't like a challenge!

Be Social   - Coffee mornings are a great way to raise money. Bake some cakes, invite some friends round - it's easy!

Be Smart   - Organise a quiz night at your pub, work or school? Or how about guessing the number of sweets in a jar?

Be Silly   - Why not create a buzz and wear it yellow!? Paint your face, don a wig or dress up and celebrate the amazing work of the Beatson!

Be Inventive   - Get sponsored for giving up one of your biggest vices for a month. Will it be crisps, cakes or chocolate!  Or make why not make your own challenge!

Be Team Beatson   - We also have a  fantastic calendar  of Beatson Cancer Charity   events  in 2016! -  Off  The Beatson Track,   Challenge  Arrochar ,  Beatson Sporting  dinner   and   many more

Whatever you decide  to  do in 2016 or  however  much you raise,  you will be helping more people beat cancer and improve  their quality of life  while  they are undergoing treatment.  We are determined to beat  cancer and with your support we believe we can.
