Aimee hadn’t been well for a while, but at just 26 her family never thought she’d be diagnosed with cervical cancer. She went in to hospital for treatment, but the strength of her medication meant she was unresponsive for long periods.
Hope came when Aimee was transferred to The Beatson. Her medication was regulated and she was able to stay awake. After such a distressing few weeks Robert and Liz, Aimee’s parents, had their bright, bubbly daughter back, if only for a short time.
Aimee lost her fight five weeks after first being diagnosed, but Robert and Liz will cherish every one of the twelve precious days The Beatson gave them.
