The next Beatson Cancer Charity funded Beatson Bootcamp is on Saturday 4th March at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.
The focus of the study day will be on the difficulties faced by healthcare professionals when it comes to discussing the impact of a cancer diagnosis and its treatment on a patients' sexual wellbeing. This day is designed to increase healthcare professionals' confidence in discussing patients' concerns about sex and relationships as well as introducing possible supportive interventions.
The overall content of the day will give participants an opportunity to consider the many issues that may impact on patient relationships and sexual function following diagnosis and/or treatment of cancer. We also hope to explore different approaches to discussing sex and relationships, as well as basic support strategies and interventions to help address psychosexual concerns.

Cancer and sexual wellbeing
Body image and relationships
Sexual minority experience of cancer
The physiological and psychological aspects of sex
