19th May 2014

This time last year Andrew King was racing in and winning the Stornoway half marathon, and was on his way to winning the Heb3 series while preparing to compete in the Bermuda Island Games. At that time, unbeknown to Andrew he was developing a cancerous tumour in his leg. After excessive treatment and a major operation which left him in a wheelchair, Andrew is up on his feet and running again one year later for the Beatson Cancer Charity, which is an amazing achievement!Andrew said: "I may be last, but I don't care. I just want to inspire people that they can do anything if they put their mind to it."I am only looking for a little contribution. The charity has done a lot for me through these tough times and they will continue to support me for the foreseeable future."Andrew has so far raised well over £600 and counting! If you would like to read the rest of Andrew's inspiring story or make a donation to his marathon effort, then please visit his JustGiving page here.A big thank you from all of us Andrew, we wish you the very best with the race and we are very grateful for your determination and support!Has Andrew's challenge rubbed off on you?
