Our services offer practical and emotional support to patients and families from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond, to help them cope with the challenges of living with cancer and to live a full and meaningful life. We fund a range of services – over and above NHS provision – that enhance the treatment and care provided by The Beatson. We are also committed to improving cancer survival rates by supporting advances in technology and research.
The charity is keen to provide opportunities for developing projects and initiatives within the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and support its wider reach across Glasgow and the West of Scotland. We are also interested in supporting links between the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and the Beatson Institute to accelerate the introduction of research advances into clinical practice and so that clinical practice can inform research. As a result the charity, in partnership with the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, has launched this open call Beatson Research and Development Fund to support the enhancement of vital cancer research projects, critical infrastructure and patient services.
